Description
Marion Hall-Best - one of Australia's most important 20th-century interior designers - photographed for the book "Made in Australia", 1968. Based at Queen Street, Woollahra, she inspired many with her bold use of colour.
This photograph featured in the exhibition "David Mist: Swinging Sydney" at the Museum of Sydney in 2008, profiling the work of well-known fashion photographer David Mist who captured the fashions and flavour of life in Sydney in the late 1960s. His work depicts a relatively young and increasingly cosmopolitan city.
