Caption
A reward poster for information relating to the bombing of the Hilton Hotel in Sydney in 1978 which resulted in the deaths of three people.
Description
In February 1978, the Sydney Hilton Hotel was hosting the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting. In the early hours of February 13, a bomb exploded when the garbage collectors emptied a bin outside the hotel. The two garbage collectors and one policeman died and numerous people were wounded. At the time, the Australian Prime Minister and eleven visiting heads of state were resident in the building. Conspiracy theories still surround the bombing, as the motive and perpetrators has never satisfactorily been explained.
