Description
This chest of drawers belonged to the Marshall's who were tenants of No 62 (Susannah Place) from 1962 to 1990. The drawers were located in the middle room, under the stairs alongside the fridge. The drawers are currently painted white but were grey when used in No 62. The drawers were used for the storage of papers and other bits and pieces. Dennis Marshall had his old manual typewriter sitting on top when they were used at No 62. Ellen said the drawers were part of the furniture issued by government agencies to '10 pound Poms' in migrant hostels. She purchased this chest of drawers along with some other pieces of furniture at auction.
