Arnt Martinius 'Martin' Andersen (1889 - 1963) and his wife Mary Pauline 'Girlie' and sons Jack and Ernie moved into 58 Gloucester Street; part of a row of four houses called Susannah Place, in 1949. Prior to his retirement Martin worked as a ship's carpenter at Garden Island.
