'Port Jackson NSW Darling Point & Rushcutter’s Bay with ‘Spring-field’ on the right, Residence of Samuel H Smyth', 1849, oil painting by George Edwards Peacock. Samuel Smyth was manager of the Sydney Marine Assurance Company for over twenty years. From the late 1860s until about 1881, he and his family lived at Ashfield Park.
