Stereographic photograph on foxed cream coloured card. Image shows the Rolling Room of the Mint, looking North East, with the rolling mills and other machinery, the roof trusses and sky light.
One of a group of stereographs by Robert Hunt and Captain E. Ward, Deputy Mint Master, dated c. 1857 and bearing the initials ‘ALB’. Acquired from Josef Lebovic who had acquired the collection from an unknown source.
