Description
The Book of Common Prayer was donated to Christ Church Rouse Hill by a member of the Rouse family of Rouse Hill House. As a donated item fully inscribed by the donor the bible documents an historic continuum of committed support of Christ Church Rouse Hill by members of the Rouse family; their support began in 1862 with Robert Fitzgerald’s (husband of Elizabeth Henrietta, née Rouse) donation of land for the building of Christ Church and continued well into the 20th century.
