Handwritten on reverse: "Watts collection of Pugin designs were not registered until after Pugin's death in 1852. They were part of a registration of designs submitted on 25th April 1874."

Description
This Gothic-revival reproduction wallpaper is an example of a small series designed by A.W.N. Pugin for domestic residences. It has been reproduced from a design dating from the mid-nineteenth century, and originally manufactured by Scott, Cuthbertson & Co of Chelsea, England. This is one of five samples in the collection which were sent by the manufacturer to a prospective client in c 1980. See L2000/5 to L2000/9.
