Gothic style carved oak cupboard with single drawer, made by Druce & Co., England, circa 1845
Description
The Gothic style carved oak cupboard is located in the Dining Room of Vaucluse House. Made by Druce & Co. in England, circa 1845, it is decorated with cavetto moulded cornice on the frieze. The single carved drawer is flanked with two blocks with carved 4 leaf patera. The door has a carved panel of Gothic style tracery and the top has a decorative back board of scallops with alternate ball and stylized fleur-de-lis finials.
