Description
The pastille burner, made by Derby (estab. 1750), has a conical shaped cover sitting atop a square base with gilded ball feet and line decoration. The cover is decorated with hand painted birds in reserves on an olive green background. A finial of a flame shape on top of the cover has an opening. The square base has a recessed centre pierced with holes and a raised central recess. It is hand painted and gilded with a floral motif in each corner.
