Vase, made by Mintons Ltd, circa 1835
Description
Bone china covered pot-pourri vase. The body is heavily encrusted with flowers and foliage, naturalistically coloured; central panels to either side painted with flowers and fruit on white ground; smaller panels beneath handles painted with fruit. Gilt and blue modelled scrollwork to foot and handles. Cover has flower encrusting between alternate panels painted with fruit on white ground (back and front) and pierced lattice work to either side surmounted by a barefooted figure of a boy in 18th century costume.
