Description
Sydney Artist and designer Donald Clark (b.1928) began silk screen printing, which developed into designing and printing textiles on a commercial basis. David Jones was Clark's first major client. In 1954 Clark began a business partnership with his brother Robert (b. 1924) trading as Donald Clark Handcrafts. In 1958 Donald Clark Associates Pty Ltd was formed and by the mid-1960s the company had success with co-ordinated kitchen accessories sold to David Jones, Grace Bros and other outlets. In 1985 the business was sold to Wilson Fabrics.
